Innovative Estate Auction
Cascade Auctions provided a solution for Dr Robert Huddleston's Estate. With 10 children in the family when it came time to settle up their fathers estate among themselves they decided on the recommendation of Cascade Auctions and have their own private online auction. The personal property was moved from Blaine, WA to our liquidation center where it was inventoried and posted to cyberauctions.com. The family members enjoyed bidding against each other as they knew the funds raised where going to their mothers care. Family members from Washington to Texas where able to participate in the week long event. The online auction process was an efficient way to distribute the property. After the family had their private auction the balance went up to the public.

Dynamic Auction Closing for Online Auctions
Cyberauctions.com the on demand auction system for online auctions has implemented dynamic auction closing. So what is Dynamic Auction Closing? It's a feature that allows our online auction system to behave more like our live auctions, in that the bidding doesn't end until all of the bids are in. As you may or may not know a group of lots or items make up an auction in cyberauctions.com, unlike e-Bay and other online auctions where each item is treated as its own auction. When the auction closing time comes around the system will check to see if there is any bidding within the last 5 minutes of the closing time. If so the system will extend the closing time by 5 minutes. You will also notice that the closing time of the auction has been updated to reflect the new closing time. The process will repeat and will not close the auction until there is no bidding activity for 5 minutes. The system also has a max bid feature and we suggest that you use that if you don't want to wait around and compete in the auction closing. Contact randy@cyberauctions.com if you have any questions about the system.

Ready to begin adding sellers to CyberAuctions.com
Ehli Industrial, LLC launches CyberAuctions.com. CyberAuctions.com is a complete on demand auction system for auctioneers, businesses, and non-profit organizations. CyberAuctions.com is an online only auction system, designed by Randy Ehli, CAI, GPPA of Cascade Auctions. Randy developed one of the first auction systems in the country with the development of Auctionware in 1979. Unlike E-Bay the program is designed to work closer to the way auctioneers run their auctions. For example a group of lots make up an auction, and all close at the same time, quantity fields that multiply the bid out, reserve or no reserve lots, buyer’s premium or no buyer’s premium, and control over the bidding increments.
The system includes consignor management, allowing multi seller, multi location auctions and the ability to charge consignors by the item, percent or against a predefined schedule. Description of lots can be as extensive as you want, from a short description to full html embedded code that includes video, podcasts, extra pictures, or other documents that you want to present. There is also an external link feature for each lot if needed. The external link allows for further details about the auction or lot to be hosted on your own web site.
Sharing of the customer / buyer database is probably the most unique idea of the system and arguably the hardest part to sell to other auction companies. The reason for a shared customer / buyer database is for CyberAuctions.com to provide a common format for the buyers that support online auctions. Currently there are many auction companies providing some kind of online bidding that is promoted to just their customers. Buyers need to register and set up a profile for each auction company that they are interested in. With CyberAuctions.com they only need to register once and are able to participate in any of the auctions available. Auction companies that want more control over the process or require a deposit before bidding can have a password for their auctions that they control. This is also a great way to control the buyers in a non-profit auction. Sellers will have access to the customer buyer list, and with each auction firm bringing customers online it will grow very quickly.
CyberAuctions.com also provides each seller their own payment gateway. This allows the seller to accept credit cards or checks online with the funds deposited directly to their own accounts. CyberAuctions.com is a secure site and payment processing is handled thru Authorize.net a leader in online payments. The added benefit of having an authorize.net account is that it can be used for online sales. Buyers are given their own Personal Control Center (PCC) to watch over their bids, and pay invoices online. Buyers are also given the option to pay in person at the time of pickup.
